Manager Online reports another clash near Urupong in Bangkok. One more bus was burned. At 16.45 One branch office of Bangkok Bank and 7-11 convenient store were raid. 17.15, the Red Shirts retreated from this area.

Manager Online reports the clash between the Red Shirts and the residents near Nanglerng/Yommarat area. Red Shirts brought fuel praparing for burning Nanglerng area. One Red Shirt shot one resident near Kasikorn Bank branch at Nanglerng.

23.00 – PM Abhisit and the Cabinet on TV Says the Situation Undercontrol

PM Abhisit, and some key members of the cabinet, appeared on TV and saying now most areas in Bangkok are undercontrol. The only Red Shirt area is their main base near the government house. He acknowledges the death at Nanglerng and thanks all government officials who are on duty and promise the peace to citizen.

04.56 – Army attacks the Red Shirt at Din Dang area

At 04.56, the Army started to dissolve the Red Shirts mob at Din Dang area in central Bangkok. The Army can control the situation around 6.00 in the morning. There are many injuries but the casualties are not confirmed. The Red Shirts claims 50 casualties but  the government denied no casualties at all.

Arisman Pongruengrong, one of Red Shirts leaders who siezed ASEAN Summit at Pattaya was arrested at his resident in Thonburi for the uprising charge. Police brought him to the military base in Prachuapkhirikhan province. He called the Red Shirts around 13.20 that he did not know the destination the police would bring him to.

Anyway, he tried to fled away but crash his Tank with some Red Shirts’ motorcycles and Taxis. This video was shot by the Red Shirts, no time given. It seems to be on the afternoon of 12 April 2009.

16.40 – PM Abhisit safely escaped from Ministry of Interior

After Abhisit’s announcement for the State of Emergency, the Red Shirts went to Ministry of Interior, where Abhisit was staying at that moment. Red Shirts siezed Abhisit’s car and tried to break it but failed. Abhisit and his car escape from that location safely but some following government cars were broken.
